Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3240.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Community Hospitals Authority Act:\n\n1. “Authority” means the Community Hospitals Authority;\n\n2. “Health care system” means a system providing inpatient and\n\noutpatient services that is not limited to a specific facility or\n\nmodality of care;\n\n3. “Medically indigent” means a person requiring medically\n\nnecessary hospital or other health care services for the person or\n\nthe dependents of the person, who has insufficient or no public or\n\nprivate third-party coverage and whose personal resources are\n\ninsufficient to provide for needed medical care; and\n\n4. “Participating health care system” means a health care\n\nsystem that has within it a major community hospital that expends at\n\nleast Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) annually providing care\n\nfor medically indigent persons from a multicounty service area and\n\nthat is located in a municipality having a population of three\n\nhundred seventy-five thousand (375,000) or more which does not have\n\na health care system statutorily charged with indigent care and\n\nmedical teaching or training responsibilities on the effective date\n\nof the Community Hospitals Authority Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b64036cea5c89778934a9b54a5fc816fd8359abb49c6d8398a61cf97a4969f89","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3240.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3240.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
