Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3272","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma State University Medical Authority Act:\n\n1. “Graduate Medical Education” or “GME” means educational\n\nprograms meeting the guidelines of the American Osteopathic\n\nAssociation offered as an extension of the Oklahoma State University\n\nCenter for Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in\n\ncooperation with a hospital or other healthcare provider;\n\n2. “Hospital” means a hospital as such term is defined by\n\nSection 1-701 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes and facilities\n\nwithin the definition of “ambulatory surgical center” as defined in\n\nSection 2657 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n3. “Patient” means an individual receiving care from an\n\nOklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences intern,\n\nresident or full or part-time physician trainer;\n\n4. “Declaration of necessity” means an official action of the\n\nOklahoma State University Medical Authority to fulfill the terms of\n\nan Academic Affiliation or other agreement or to provide facilities,\n\nfinancing or any other general support to enhance the stability,\n\nquality or otherwise furtherance of the graduate medical education\n\nprograms of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health\n\nSciences; and\n\n5. “Academic Affiliation Agreement” means an agreement between\n\nthe Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and an\n\nentity providing facilities, equipment and support for the graduate\n\nmedical education programs of the Oklahoma State University Center\n\nfor Health Sciences.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9dd59a2b0da34f061347dd010451702199bde83c774c9a3484eaffa5bd5f8e37","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3271","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3273"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
