The purposes of the Oklahoma State University Medical\n\nAuthority Act are to provide for an effective and efficient\n\nadministration, to ensure a dependable source of funding, and to\n\neffectuate the mission and purposes of the Oklahoma State University\n\nMedical Authority. The mission and purposes of the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity Medical Authority are to support and upon a declaration\n\nof necessity, to serve as teaching and training facilities for\n\nstudents enrolled at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health\n\nSciences, upon a declaration of necessity, to acquire and provide a\n\nsite for conducting medical and biomedical research by faculty\n\nmembers of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences\n\nand to facilitate and upon a declaration of necessity, to provide\n\ncare for the patients of Oklahoma State University Center for Health\n\nSciences physician trainers. The Oklahoma State University Medical\n\nAuthority shall maintain a close affiliation with the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity Center for Health Sciences and shall coordinate their\n\noperations and activities in a cooperative manner.\n\nB. The Legislature finds that the needs of the citizens of this\n\nstate and the needs of the Oklahoma State University Center for\n\nHealth Sciences will be best served by an Authority charged with the\n\nmission of supporting the Graduate Medical Education programs of the\n\nOklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, entering into\n\nAcademic Affiliation Agreements in support of Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity physician and healthcare training programs, operating or\n\nleasing the operations of the teaching hospital or hospitals for the\n\nbenefit of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences\n\nand providing care for the patients of Oklahoma State University\n\nphysician trainers.\n\nC.
