Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3274","heading":"Hospitals - Operation, licensing, accreditation, and","body":"certification - Teaching and training.\n\nA. Any hospital or hospitals purchased, leased or constructed\n\nby the Oklahoma State University Medical Authority shall be operated\n\nas general hospitals and shall be licensed by the State Commissioner\n\nof Health, and shall, as far as possible, meet the standards,\n\nrequirements and essentials of the Joint Commission on Accreditation\n\nof Health Care Organizations and the American Osteopathic\n\nAssociation or, alternatively, meet Medicare certification by the\n\nCenter for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Provided, the State\n\nCommissioner of Health may waive any such standards, requirements\n\nand essentials as the Commissioner deems necessary.\n\nB. Any such hospitals may provide services and receive payments\n\nunder Titles XVIII and XIX of the federal Social Security Act, and\n\nmay participate in other federal medical programs.\n\nC. Any such hospitals shall be available as teaching and\n\ntraining hospitals for the colleges of the Oklahoma State University\n\nCenter for Health Sciences, for other health and educational\n\nfacilities and shall provide indigent patient care.\n\nD. For the purpose of Medicaid supplemental payments, the\n\nOklahoma State University Medical Trust shall be authorized to enter\n\ninto a cooperative venture for the purpose of training students\n\nwithin an American College of Surgeons Level I Trauma Center or\n\ncenters operated by the Oklahoma State University Medical Trust or\n\nan affiliated entity approved by the Trust. The Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity Medical Authority shall annually certify to the Oklahoma\n\nHealth Care Authority that the Level I trauma center meets such\n\nstandards and requirements with respect to any Medicaid supplemental\n\npayments to be received from the Oklahoma Health Care Authority for\n\nthe Level I Trauma Center.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ca915f5d43fff17d3e215318a179682e9e45bb8f9a38073e357bf623d8e8fc57","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3273","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3275"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
