Stat. tit. 63, § 63-4044","heading":"Permits for displays and sales of new vessels or motors","body":"held off premises of licensed dealer.\n\nService Oklahoma shall issue permits for displays and sales of\n\nnew vessels or motors which are held off the premises of a licensed\n\ndealer thereof as follows:\n\n1. A promotion by an individual new vessel or motor dealer\n\nwhich is held off the premises of such dealer and at which sales\n\nactivities are conducted may be held only under the following\n\nconditions:\n\na. the dealer participates in an advertised vessel or\n\nmotor show in which at least two other vessel or motor\n\ndealers are participating,\n\nb. application for a permit for a sales promotion by an\n\nindividual dealer shall be made to Service Oklahoma at\n\nleast seven (7) calendar days prior to such promotion,\n\nand such permit shall be issued by Service Oklahoma\n\nupon payment of a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per\n\nevent,\n\nc. the permit shall be valid for a period not to exceed\n\nfourteen (14) consecutive days, and\n\nd. Service Oklahoma shall not issue a permit to a dealer\n\nif he has obtained a permit within the past forty-five\n\n(45) calendar days for the same location;\n\n2. A dealer may not be denied a permit on the grounds that the\n\nsales promotion is to be held within the relevant market area of\n\nanother dealer of the same product line;\n\n3. A dealer who fails to obtain such a permit shall be subject\n\nto the penalties and fines provided for in Section 4041 of Title 63\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nProvided, a permit shall not be required pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section for a display or sale of new vessels or\n\nmotors which is held off the premises of a licensed dealer if the\n\ndisplay or sale is held within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of the\n\nlocation of the dealership; and\n\n4. Prior to the completion of a sale at an off-premises\n\nlocation, the dealer shall be required to disclose in writing to any\n\nperson purchasing a new vessel or motor the following information:\n\na. that location of the dealership making the sale, and\n\nb. that other dealers may not be willing to do repair or\n\nwarranty work on vessels not purchased at their\n\ndealership.\n\nAny salesperson working at an off-premises location shall not wear\n\nany identification or clothing indicating an affiliation with\n\nanother retailer.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0206431d317d3129d0c8503b2bce6422d78c97aadf8a7cf357da8fa875dc6a55","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-4043","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-4101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
