No person shall operate, manipulate or give permission to\n\nany person to operate or manipulate any parasails, water skis,\n\nsurfboard, personal watercraft, or similar device, or any vessel in\n\na reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the life or\n\nproperty of any person.\n\nB. No person shall lease or otherwise give permission to\n\nanother person to operate any vessel on any waters of this state,\n\nexcept privately owned waters, while the operator is under the\n\ninfluence of alcohol or any substance included in the Uniform\n\nControlled Dangerous Substances Act or any combination of alcohol\n\nand such substance.\n\nC. Upon the immediate approach of an authorized emergency\n\nvessel making use of an audible or a visual signal or a combination\n\nthereof, the operator of every other vessel shall immediately stop\n\nhis or her vessel whenever or wherever practical or otherwise yield\n\nthe right-of-way until such authorized emergency vessel has passed,\n\nexcept when otherwise directed by a duly authorized peace officer of\n\nthis state.\n\nD. No person shall overload or give permission to overload a\n\nvessel with passengers or gear so as to exceed the posted capacity\n\nplate, United States Coast Guard standards, or the vessel\n\nmanufacturer’s recommended capacity.\n\nE. No person shall operate or give permission to operate any\n\nvessel on the waters of this state for which the manufacturer has\n\naffixed a maximum horsepower capacity plate so as to exceed the\n\nposted capacity plate or to exceed the United States Coast Guard\n\nstandards for maximum horsepower capacity; provided, this provision\n\nshall not apply to vessels operating in sanctioned events.\n\nF. No person shall operate, drive or be in actual physical\n\ncontrol of any vessel on any waters of this state, except privately\n\nowned waters, at speeds in excess of the speed limits established\n\nfor those waters.\n\nG. No person shall operate on the waters of this state, except\n\nprivately owned waters, any vessel, including personal watercraft,\n\nwithin fifty (50) feet in proximity to another vessel when running\n\nat speeds of over ten (10) miles per hour; provided, this\n\nprohibition shall not apply to vessels operating in sanctioned\n\nevents.\n\nH.
