Stat. tit. 63, § 63-4210.2","heading":"Eluding or attempting eluding peace officer - Assisting","body":"peace officer - Arrests.\n\nAny operator of a vessel who has received a visual and audible\n\nsignal, a red light and a siren, from any duly authorized peace\n\nofficer of this state, operating a vessel showing the same to be a\n\nlaw enforcement vessel, directing the said operator to bring his\n\nvessel to a stop and who willfully increases his speed or\n\nextinguishes his lights in an attempt to elude such officer, or\n\nwillfully attempts in any other manner to elude the officer, or who\n\ndoes elude such officer, upon conviction, shall be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two\n\nThousand Dollars ($2,000.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail\n\nfor not more than one (1) year, or by both such fine and\n\nimprisonment.\n\nSaid peace officer, while attempting to stop a violator of this\n\nsection, may communicate a request for the assistance of other duly\n\nauthorized peace officers from any office, department or agency of\n\nthis state.
