Stat. tit. 63, § 63-4252","heading":"Definitions","body":"In addition to the terms defined by the Oklahoma Vessel and\n\nMotor Registration Act, Section 4002 et seq. of Title 63 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, and the terms defined by the Oklahoma Boating\n\nSafety Regulation Act, Section 4201 et seq. of Title 63 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, for the purposes of the Vessel and Motor Chop\n\nShop, Stolen and Altered Property Act:\n\n1. \"Chop shop\" means any building, lot or other premises where\n\none or more persons are or have been knowingly engaged in altering,\n\ndestroying, disassembling, dismantling, reassembling, or knowingly\n\nstoring any vessel or motor, or vessel or motor part known to be\n\nillegally obtained by theft, fraud or conspiracy to defraud, in\n\norder to either:\n\na. alter, counterfeit, deface, destroy, disguise,\n\nfalsify, forge, obliterate, or remove the identity,\n\nincluding the hull identification number,\n\nmanufacturer's serial number or other identification\n\nnumber of such vessel or motor or vessel or motor\n\npart, in order to misrepresent the identity of such\n\nvessel or motor or vessel or motor part, or to prevent\n\nthe identification of such vessel or motor or vessel\n\nor motor part, or\n\nb. sell or dispose of such vessel or motor or vessel or\n\nmotor part; and\n\n2. \"Unidentifiable\" means that the uniqueness of a vessel or\n\nmotor or vessel or motor part cannot be established by either expert\n\nlaw enforcement investigative personnel specially trained and\n\nexperienced in vessel or motor theft investigative procedures and\n\nvessel or motor identification examination techniques, or by expert\n\nemployees of not-for-profit vessel or motor theft prevention\n\nagencies specially trained and experienced in vessel or motor theft\n\ninvestigation procedures and vessel or motor identification\n\nexamination techniques.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4b8268f1f92df4d3e2fa18e2f9ba65d0320e4fa747ce1328025778e2e8743315","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-4251","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-4253"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
