Stat. tit. 63, § 63-427.13","heading":"Oklahoma-licensed business purchase requirement –","body":"Inventory tracking system.\n\nA. All medical marijuana and medical marijuana products shall\n\nbe purchased solely from a state-licensed medical marijuana\n\nbusiness, and shall not be purchased from any out-of-state\n\nproviders.\n\nB. 1. The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority shall have\n\noversight and auditing responsibilities to ensure that all marijuana\n\nbeing grown in this state is accounted for and shall implement an\n\ninventory tracking system. Pursuant to these duties, the Authority\n\nshall require that each medical marijuana business, medical\n\nmarijuana research facility, medical marijuana education facility\n\nand medical marijuana waste disposal facility keep records for every\n\ntransaction with another medical marijuana business, patient or\n\ncaregiver. Inventory shall be tracked and updated after each\n\nindividual sale and reported to the Authority.\n\n2. The inventory tracking system licensees use shall allow for\n\nintegration of other seed-to-sale systems and, at a minimum, shall\n\ninclude the following:\n\na. notification of when marijuana seeds and clones are\n\nplanted,\n\nb. notification of when marijuana plants are harvested\n\nand destroyed,\n\nc. notification of when marijuana is transported, sold,\n\nstolen, diverted or lost,\n\nd. a complete inventory of all marijuana, seeds, plant\n\ntissue, clones, plants, usable marijuana or trim,\n\nleaves and other plant matter, batches of extract, and\n\nmarijuana concentrates,\n\ne. all samples sent to a testing laboratory, an unused\n\nportion of a sample returned to a licensee, all\n\nsamples utilized by licensee for purposes of\n\nnegotiating a sale, and\n\nf. all samples used for quality testing by a licensee.\n\n3. Each medical marijuana business, medical marijuana research\n\nfacility, medical marijuana education facility and medical marijuana\n\nwaste disposal facility shall develop written standard operating\n\nprocedures outlining the manner in which it operates as prescribed\n\nby the Authority and shall use a seed-to-sale tracking system or\n\nintegrate its own seed-to-sale tracking system with the seed-to-sale\n\ntracking system established by the Authority in accordance with the\n\nlimitations set forth herein.\n\n4. These records shall include, but not be limited to, the\n\nfollowing:\n\na. the name and license number of the medical marijuana\n\nbusiness that cultivated, manufactured or sold the\n\nmedical marijuana or medical marijuana product,\n\nb. the address and phone number of the medical marijuana\n\nbusiness that cultivated, manufactured or sold the\n\nmedical marijuana or medical marijuana product,\n\nc. the type of product received during the transaction,\n\nd. the batch number of the marijuana plant used,\n\ne. the date of the transaction,\n\nf. the total spent in dollars,\n\ng. all point-of-sale records,\n\nh. marijuana excise tax records, and\n\ni. any additional information as may be reasonably\n\nrequired by the Executive Director of the Oklahoma\n\nMedical Marijuana Authority.\n\n5. All inventory tracking records retained by a medical\n\nmarijuana business, medical marijuana research facility, medical\n\nmarijuana education facility or medical marijuana waste disposal\n\nfacility containing medical marijuana patient or caregiver\n\ninformation shall comply with all relevant state and federal laws\n\nincluding, but not limited to, the Health Insurance Portability and\n\nAccountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d9fa0db69dda3a6f5a1f0691ece4935ae5bcda87e924b56943ea55025f8e30f9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-427.12","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-427.14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
