Stat. tit. 63, § 63-465.20","heading":"Smelling, inhaling, etc. of substances which cause","body":"unnatural conditions - Exemptions - Penalties.\n\n(a) It shall be unlawful for any person deliberately to smell,\n\ninhale, breathe, drink or otherwise consume any compound, liquid,\n\nchemical, controlled dangerous substance, prescription drugs or any\n\nother substance or chemical containing any ketones, aldehydes,\n\norganic acetones, ether, chlorinated hydrocarbons or metallic\n\npowders, such as gasoline, glue, fingernailpolish, adhesive cement,\n\nmucilage, dope, paint dispensed from pressurized containers or any\n\nother substance or combination thereof containing solvents releasing\n\ntoxic vapors, with the intent to cause conditions of intoxication,\n\ninebriation, excitement, elation, stupefaction, paralysis,\n\nirrationality, dulling of the brain or nervous system, or any other\n\nchanging, distorting or disturbing of the eyesight, thinking\n\nprocesses, judgment, balance or coordination of such person.\n\n(b) The provisions of this statute shall not pertain to any\n\nperson who inhales, breathes, drinks or otherwise consumes such\n\nmaterial or substance pursuant to the direction or prescription of\n\nany licensed doctor, physician, surgeon, dentist or podiatrist; nor\n\nto the consumption of intoxicating liquor.\n\n(c) Any person who violates any provisions of this act relating\n\nto inhalation of glue or other substances shall be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be subject to imprisonment in\n\nthe county jail for not more than one (1) year or a fine of not more\n\nthan Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or both such imprisonment and\n\nfine.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"10bfb71abc537e68787e317e418d3b60889281ec3ad16d94bdc78aec2faecdae","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-431.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-465.21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
