Stat. tit. 63, § 63-5009.2","heading":"Advisory Committee on Medical Care for Public","body":"Assistance Recipients.\n\nA. The Advisory Committee on Medical Care for Public Assistance\n\nRecipients, created by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority pursuant\n\nto 42 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 431.12, for the purpose\n\nof advising the Authority about health and medical care services,\n\nshall include among its membership of no more than sixteen (16) the\n\nfollowing:\n\n1. Board-certified physicians and other representatives of the\n\nhealth professions who are familiar with the medical needs of low-\n\nincome population groups and with the resources available and\n\nrequired for their care. The Advisory Committee shall, at all\n\ntimes, include at least one physician from each of the six classes\n\nof physicians listed in Section 725.2 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. All such physicians and other representatives of the\n\nhealth professions shall be participating providers in the State\n\nMedicaid Plan;\n\n2. Members of consumers’ groups, including, but not limited to:\n\na. Medicaid recipients, and\n\nb. representatives from consumer organizations including\n\na member representing nursing homes, a member\n\nrepresenting individuals with developmental\n\ndisabilities and a member representing one or more\n\nbehavioral health professions;\n\n3. The Director of the Department of Human Services or\n\ndesignee;\n\n4. The Commissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse\n\nServices or designee;\n\n5. A member approved and appointed by a state organization or\n\nstate chapter of a national organization of pediatricians dedicated\n\nto the health, safety and well-being of infants, children,\n\nadolescents and young adults, who shall:\n\na. monitor provider relations with the Oklahoma Health\n\nCare Authority, and\n\nb. create a forum to address grievances;\n\n6. A member who is a member or citizen of a federally\n\nrecognized American Indian tribe or nation whose primary tribal\n\nheadquarters is located in this state; and\n\n7. A member representing a contracted entity as defined in\n\nSection 4002.2 of Title 56 of the Oklahoma Statutes or a health plan\n\nassociation representing more than one such contracted entity.\n\nBeginning on January 1, 2022, appointments made to the Advisory\n\nCommittee shall be for a duration not to exceed four (4) consecutive\n\ncalendar years.\n\nB. The Advisory Committee shall meet bimonthly to review and\n\nmake recommendations related to:\n\n1. Policy development and program administration;\n\n2. Policy changes proposed by the Authority prior to\n\nconsideration of such changes by the Authority;\n\n3. Financial concerns related to the Authority and the\n\nadministration of the programs under the Authority; and\n\n4. Other pertinent information related to the management and\n\noperation of the Authority and the delivery of health and medical\n\ncare services.\n\nC. 1. The Administrator of the Authority shall provide such\n\nstaff support and independent technical assistance as needed by the\n\nAdvisory Committee to enable the Advisory Committee to make\n\neffective recommendations.\n\n2. The Advisory Committee shall elect from among its members a\n\nchair and a vice chair who shall serve one-year terms. A member may\n\nserve more than one but not more than four consecutive one-year\n\nterms as chair or vice chair. A majority of the members of the\n\nAdvisory Committee shall constitute a quorum to transact business,\n\nbut no vacancy shall impair the right of the remaining members to\n\nexercise all of the powers of the Advisory Committee.\n\n3. Members shall not receive any compensation for their\n\nservices but shall be reimbursed pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nState Travel Reimbursement Act, Section 500.1 et seq. of Title 74 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nD.
