Stat. tit. 63, § 63-681","heading":"School buildings - Protection from tornadoes and severe","body":"weather.\n\nSchool authorities of the State of Oklahoma, its political\n\nsubdivisions, and its school districts are authorized to plan,\n\ndesign, and construct new school buildings and make additions to\n\nexisting school buildings that afford protection for the anticipated\n\nschool body, faculty, and visitors against tornadoes and severe\n\nweather. Each school, administration building and institution of\n\nhigher learning shall have written plans and procedures in place for\n\nprotecting students, faculty, administrators and visitors from\n\nnatural and man-made disasters and emergencies. Plans shall be\n\nreviewed and updated annually as appropriate by each school,\n\nadministration building and institution of higher learning, and\n\nplaced on file at each school district and each local emergency\n\nresponse organization within the district, which may include police,\n\nfire, emergency medical services, sheriff and emergency management\n\nof the appropriate jurisdiction. The plans shall be submitted in a\n\nformat acceptable to the emergency agency no later than November 1\n\nof each year.
