Stat. tit. 63, § 63-683.28","heading":"Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management – Volunteer","body":"programs.\n\nThe Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, in cooperation\n\nwith governmental entities, individual volunteers and volunteer\n\norganizations throughout the State of Oklahoma, shall:\n\n1. Assist all state agencies in the development of emergency\n\nmanagement volunteer programs;\n\n2. Operate as a statewide information center for volunteer\n\nprograms and needed services that could be delivered by volunteer\n\nprograms;\n\n3. Provide or aid in the provision of technical assistance and\n\ntraining for directors and coordinators of volunteers, for staff,\n\nand for individual volunteers for state, local or private entities;\n\n4. Assess and recognize the needs of communities throughout the\n\nState of Oklahoma and assist volunteer programs to meet emergency\n\npreparedness and disaster recovery programs;\n\n5. Promote and coordinate efforts to expand and improve the\n\nstatewide voluntary network;\n\n6. Develop, implement and maintain a volunteer clearinghouse to\n\ndisseminate information to support emergency management volunteer\n\nprograms and to broaden voluntary involvement throughout the State\n\nof Oklahoma;\n\n7. Promote communication and collaboration between public and\n\nprivate volunteer programs in the State of Oklahoma and between the\n\npublic and private sector's initiatives in meeting emergency human\n\nneeds;\n\n8. Establish methods for supporting and promoting private\n\nsector leadership and responsibility for meeting emergency public\n\nneeds;\n\n9. Cooperate with federal, state, and local volunteer groups in\n\ncollecting information on federal, state and private resources which\n\nmay encourage and improve emergency management volunteer projects\n\nwithin the State of Oklahoma;\n\n10. Develop a program to inform the public of the opportunities\n\nto volunteer and of the services emergency management volunteers\n\nprovide within the State of Oklahoma; and\n\n11.
