There is hereby created the State Hazard Mitigation Team,\n\ncomposed of the administrative heads of the following agencies or\n\ntheir designees:\n\n1. Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, who shall serve\n\nas the Team Coordinator;\n\n2. Oklahoma Water Resources Board;\n\n3. Oklahoma Climatological Survey;\n\n4. Oklahoma Conservation Commission;\n\n5. Corporation Commission;\n\n6. Oklahoma Department of Commerce;\n\n7. Department of Environmental Quality;\n\n8. Department of Human Services;\n\n9. State Department of Health;\n\n10. Department of Transportation;\n\n11. Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry or\n\nthe Secretary of Agriculture;\n\n12. Department of Wildlife Conservation;\n\n13. Oklahoma Historical Society;\n\n14. Oklahoma Insurance Department;\n\n15. Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma;\n\n16. Oklahoma Municipal League;\n\n17. State Fire Marshal;\n\n18. Department of Labor;\n\n19. A local Emergency Management Director as determined by the\n\nPresident of the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association;\n\n20. State Chancellor or his or her representative for The\n\nOklahoma State System of Higher Education; and\n\n21. State Director or his or her representative for the\n\nOklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.\n\nB. Depending on the circumstances, the Team Coordinator may\n\nrequest participation of the heads of any other state agencies as\n\ndeemed appropriate.\n\nC. The Team Coordinator shall also request that a\n\nrepresentative of the United States Army Corps of Engineers be\n\nappointed by the administrative head of the Tulsa District to\n\nparticipate on the Team.\n\nD. The Team Coordinator shall also request a representative of\n\nthe U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development be appointed by\n\nthe administrative head of the Oklahoma City office to participate\n\non the team.\n\nE. The State Hazard Mitigation Team will meet as determined by\n\nthe Team Coordinator to review and recommend updates to the State\n\nComprehensive All-hazard Mitigation Plan, and shall have those\n\nadditional responsibilities as provided by the Team Coordinator,\n\nincluding, but not limited to, the review and recommendation for\n\nloan and grant application under the Oklahoma Flood Hazard\n\nMitigation Program.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"852acbcdc9e1ed2c032046d56edd462d1c6b58ba88f7c75cfb80bf2edaca317e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-683.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-683.8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
