Stat. tit. 63, § 63-684.3","heading":"General implementation","body":"ARTICLE II\n\nGeneral Implementation\n\nEach party state entering into this compact recognizes that many\n\nemergencies transcend political jurisdictional boundaries and that\n\nintergovernmental coordination is essential in managing these and\n\nother emergencies under this compact. Each state further recognizes\n\nthat there will be emergencies which require immediate access and\n\npresent procedures to apply outside resources to make a prompt and\n\neffective response to such an emergency. This is because few, if\n\nany, individual states have all the resources they need in all types\n\nof emergencies or the capability of delivering resources to the area\n\nwhere emergencies occur.\n\nThe prompt, full, and effective utilization of resources of the\n\nparticipating states, including any resources on hand or available\n\nfrom the federal government or any other source, that are essential\n\nto the safety, care and welfare of the people in the event of any\n\nemergency or disaster declared by a party state, shall be the\n\nunderlying principle on which all articles of this compact shall be\n\nunderstood.\n\nOn behalf of the governor of each state participating in the\n\ncompact, the legally designated state official who is assigned\n\nresponsibility for emergency management will be responsible for\n\nformulation of the appropriate interstate mutual aid plans and\n\nprocedures necessary to implement this compact.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"46ce20730fb95acf4a1a2b4f5ed1314867b9c4ef647ab2131994f9ff843ed23a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-684.29","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-684.30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
