For purposes of this section:\n\n1. \"Credentialing\" means obtaining, verifying, and assessing\n\nthe qualifications of a health practitioner to provide treatment,\n\ncare, or services in or for a health facility; and\n\n2. \"Privileging\" means the authorizing by an appropriate\n\nauthority, such as a governing body, of a health practitioner to\n\nprovide specific treatment, care, or services at a health facility\n\nsubject to limits based on factors that include license, education,\n\ntraining, experience, competence, health status, and specialized\n\nskill.\n\nB.
