Stat. tit. 63, § 63-684.5","heading":"Limitations","body":"ARTICLE IV\n\nLimitations\n\nAny party state requested to render mutual aid or conduct\n\nexercises and training for mutual aid shall take such action as is\n\nnecessary to provide and make available the resources covered by\n\nthis compact in accordance with the terms hereof; provided that it\n\nis understood that the state rendering aid may withhold resources to\n\nthe extent necessary to provide reasonable protection for such\n\nstate.\n\nEach party state shall afford to the emergency forces of any\n\nparty state, while operating within its state limits under the terms\n\nand conditions of this compact, the same powers, except that of\n\narrest unless specifically authorized by the receiving state,\n\nduties, rights, and privileges as are afforded forces of the state\n\nin which they are performing emergency services. Emergency forces\n\nwill continue under the command and control of their regular\n\nleaders, but the organizational units will come under the\n\noperational control of the emergency services authorities of the\n\nstate receiving assistance. These conditions may be activated, as\n\nneeded, only subsequent to a declaration of a state emergency or\n\ndisaster by the governor of the party state that is to receive\n\nassistance or upon commencement of exercises or training for mutual\n\naid and shall continue as long as the exercises or training for\n\nmutual aid are in progress, the state of emergency or disaster\n\nremains in effect, or loaned resources remain in the receiving\n\nstate, whichever is longer.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b502d80c8fea425146100b88561153abd80484a479d95023f660d47ebeeb738a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-684.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-684.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
