Stat. tit. 63, § 63-686.12","heading":"Exercise of powers and duties by successors - Ouster","body":"provisions applicable.\n\nIf, in the event of an emergency or disaster a legislator is\n\nunavailable, the emergency interim successor highest in order of\n\nsuccession who is not unavailable shall, except for the power and\n\nduty to appoint emergency interim successors, exercise the powers\n\nand assume the duties of such legislator. An emergency interim\n\nsuccessor shall exercise these powers and assume these duties until\n\nthe incumbent legislator, an emergency interim successor higher in\n\norder of succession, or a legislator appointed or elected and\n\nlegally qualified can act. Each house of the Legislature shall, in\n\naccordance with its own rules, determine who is entitled under the\n\nprovisions of this act to exercise the powers and assume the duties\n\nof its members.
