Notwithstanding any municipal ordinance or rule regulating\n\nnoise to the contrary, a governmental official may not seek a civil\n\nor criminal penalty or injunction against a shooting range, or its\n\nowner or operators, on the basis of noise emanating from the range,\n\nprovided the noise at the property line of the shooting range does\n\nnot exceed one hundred fifty (150) decibels.\n\nB. No person shall bring any suit in law or equity or any other\n\nclaim for relief against a shooting range, or its owners or\n\noperators, based upon noise emanating from the shooting range,\n\nprovided the noise at the property line of the range does not exceed\n\none hundred fifty (150) decibels.\n\nC. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any ordinance or\n\nrule relating to noise adopted by any local unit of government,\n\nwhether before, on, or after the effective date of this act, shall\n\nnot be deemed to be enforceable against a shooting range, provided\n\nthe noise at the property line of the range does not exceed one\n\nhundred fifty (150) decibels. The ordinance or rule shall not serve\n\nas the basis for any suit in law or equity, whether brought by a\n\ngovernmental official or person.
