Stat. tit. 63, § 63-7200.3","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Sleep Diagnostic Testing Regulation Act:\n\n1. “Advanced practice nurse” means a person licensed to\n\npractice as an advanced practice nurse by the Oklahoma Board of\n\nNursing pursuant to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act;\n\n2. “Interpreting physician” means a physician who provides\n\nprofessional interpretation of data generated by sleep diagnostic\n\ntests. An interpreting physician shall be board-certified in sleep\n\nmedicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) or the\n\nAmerican Board of Medical Specialties or must have completed a one-\n\nyear sleep medicine fellowship accredited by the Accreditation\n\nCouncil for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or received a\n\nCertification of Special Qualifications (CSQ) or a Certification of\n\nAdded Qualifications (CAQ) in Sleep Medicine issued by the American\n\nOsteopathic Association;\n\n3. “Physician” means a person licensed to practice:\n\na. allopathic medicine and surgery by the State Board of\n\nMedical Licensure and Supervision pursuant to the\n\nOklahoma Allopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and\n\nSupervision Act, or\n\nb. osteopathic medicine by the State Board of Osteopathic\n\nExaminers pursuant to the Oklahoma Osteopathic\n\nMedicine Act;\n\n4. “Physician assistant” means a person licensed to practice as\n\na physician assistant by the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision pursuant to the Physician Assistant Act;\n\n5. “Sleep diagnostic test” means any technological recording\n\nprocedure used for the diagnosis of sleep-related breathing\n\ndisorders or other disorders of sleep;\n\n6. “Sleep diagnostic testing facility” means a building or\n\nplace situated in a fixed location or a mobile entity that is used\n\nto conduct sleep diagnostic tests and includes sleep disorder\n\ncenters and laboratories for sleep-related breathing disorders, but\n\ndoes not include a hospital that conducts sleep diagnostic tests for\n\nits patients, including sleep diagnostic tests performed under\n\narrangements made by a hospital for its patients whereby the\n\nhospital exercises professional responsibility over the arranged\n\nservices; and\n\n7. “Supervising physician” means a physician responsible for\n\nthe supervision of the sleep diagnostic testing performed,\n\nincluding, but not limited to, the quality of the testing performed,\n\nthe proper operation and calibration of the equipment used to\n\nperform sleep diagnostic tests and the actions of nonphysician\n\npersonnel engaged in the performance of the sleep diagnostic\n\ntesting.
