The Oklahoma Health Care Authority and the State Department\n\nof Health shall collaborate to identify benchmarks and develop goals\n\nto reduce the incidence rates of, improve health care services for,\n\nand control complications resulting from diabetes.\n\nB. The Authority and the Department shall submit a report to\n\nthe President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, and the Governor by January 10 of every fifth year.\n\nSuch report shall contain the following information:\n\n1. The fiscal impact of all types of diabetes on the Authority,\n\nthe Department, and county health departments including the number\n\nof persons with diabetes receiving services through the Authority,\n\nthe Department, and county health departments;\n\n2. The fiscal impact of diabetes on the Authority, the\n\nDepartment, and county health departments in comparison to other\n\nchronic diseases;\n\n3. An assessment of the benefits of diabetes prevention\n\nprograms including a summary of funding directed to the Authority\n\nand the Department from the Legislature;\n\n4. A description of coordination between the Authority and the\n\nDepartment including, but not limited to, programs relating to the\n\ntreatment and prevention of all forms of diabetes;\n\n5. Detailed action plans for battling diabetes with actionable\n\nitems for consideration by the Legislature including, but not\n\nlimited to, steps to reduce the impact of diabetes, pre-diabetes,\n\nand related diabetes complications;\n\n6. Identification of expected outcomes of the action steps and\n\nbenchmarks for controlling and preventing all forms of diabetes; and\n\n7. The development of a detailed budget blueprint identifying\n\nneeds, costs, and resources required to implement the plan provided\n\nfor in this section. Such blueprint shall include a budget range\n\nfor all options presented in the plan for consideration by the\n\nLegislature.\n\nC. In addition to the complete report required by subsection B\n\nof this section, the Authority or the Department shall, to the\n\nextent practicable, provide components of the upcoming report as\n\nlisted in subsection B of this section upon request to the President\n\nPro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, and the Governor.\n\nD. The provisions of this section shall be limited to diabetes\n\ninformation, data, initiatives, and programs within the Authority\n\nand the Department prior to November 1, 2015, unless there is\n\navailable funding for diabetes in each agency that may be used for\n\nnew research, data collection reporting or other requirements of\n\nthis section.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc7f830ab1cc9c1987653ce362b053fdc67eaa055124cea67e422945928b7bf4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-7300","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-7302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
