There is hereby re-created, to continue until July 1, 2030,\n\nin accordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law, an\n\noversight board to be known as the State Anatomical Board, to be\n\ncomposed of the following members:\n\n1. The deans or their designee of each accredited medical\n\nschool and osteopathic medical school within this state;\n\n2. The persons heading the department of anatomy, or comparable\n\ndepartment, in the medical and osteopathic medical schools or their\n\ndesignee;\n\n3. Two persons appointed jointly by the presidents of\n\ninstitutions of higher education within the state which have\n\neducational programs other than medical which require on a regular\n\nbasis human anatomical materials, provided that these programs have\n\nbeen approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education;\n\nand\n\n4. One at-large member appointed by the Governor to represent\n\nthe interests of the citizens of this state.\n\nB. It shall be the duty of the State Anatomical Board to\n\nregister all anatomical donor programs and non-transplant tissue\n\nbanks and to designate agents to provide for the collection,\n\npreservation, storage, distribution, delivery, recovery from users,\n\ncremation and final disposition of all dead human bodies used for\n\nhealth science education and research in this state.\n\nC. The Board shall elect from its membership a chair who shall\n\nperform such other duties as the Board may prescribe by rule. The\n\nBoard shall have full power to establish rules for its government,\n\nto appoint and remove officers, and to appoint an executive director\n\nwho shall keep full and complete minutes of its transactions and\n\nmanage the affairs of the Board. The expenditures authorized in\n\nthis section shall not be a charge against the state, but shall be\n\npaid by the agent designated by the Board to receive, store, issue,\n\nand cremate human anatomical materials. Records shall also be kept\n\nby the agent of all bodies received and distributed for the period\n\nof time authorized by the Records Disposition Schedule. The name of\n\nthe oversight board shall be the State Anatomical Board, hereinafter\n\ncalled the Anatomical Board.
