Stat. tit. 63, § 63-939","heading":"Production of records, documents, evidence or other","body":"material.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided by law, the Chief Medical\n\nExaminer shall produce records, documents, evidence or other\n\nmaterial of any nature only upon the order of a court of competent\n\njurisdiction. An interested party or litigant in a civil or\n\ncriminal action may make application for an order to produce such\n\nmaterials. The court, after notice to all parties, including the\n\nChief Medical Examiner, and a hearing on the application, may, upon\n\nthe showing of good cause, direct the release of a copy or any part\n\nof such material. In addition, the court may also direct the\n\npayment of reasonable costs by the requesting party for the\n\nproduction of the material. The production of such material shall\n\ntake place at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner unless, upon\n\na showing of good cause, specifically ordered otherwise by the\n\ncourt.\n\nB.
