Stat. tit. 64, § 64-1018","heading":"Destruction of timber or improvements - Unlawful entry -","body":"Damages.\n\nAny person, firm, business, or other entity who, without written\n\nauthority from the Commissioners of the Land Office, trespasses,\n\nuses, cuts timber, injures or destroys surface or subsurface lands\n\nor improvements, removes anything of value from the surface or\n\nsubsurface, assumes possession without a lease or other legal\n\ninterest in the lands, or who refuses to surrender possession at the\n\nexpiration, rescission or termination of a lease or easement shall\n\nbe subject to a civil action for actual damages, possession of the\n\nland, injunction, civil penalties equal to the amount of actual\n\ndamages, attorney fees, litigation expenses, sheriff fees and court\n\ncosts. Damage claims shall carry sixteen-percent interest from the\n\ndate of injury.
