Stat. tit. 64, § 64-1032","heading":"Acquisition of title to land – Certification to county","body":"treasurer - Removal from tax list – Cancellation of taxes.\n\nUpon the acquirement of the legal title of any lands by the\n\nCommissioners of the Land Office, either by cancellation of the\n\ncertificate of purchase, foreclosure of mortgage, warranty deeds, or\n\notherwise, the Secretary of the Land Office shall certify such fact\n\nto the county treasurer of the county in which the lands are\n\nsituated, and upon certification it shall be the mandatory duty of\n\nthe county treasurer of the county to remove the lands from the\n\ntaxable property list, and to strike from the record or make proper\n\nnotation upon the books and records of the county treasurer that all\n\ndelinquent taxes assessed and charged against the lands, and all tax\n\ncertificates and tax deeds based upon delinquent taxes, are canceled\n\nand nullified. The recordation in the office of the proper county\n\nclerk of any sheriff's deed to the State of Oklahoma as grantee or\n\nof any warranty deed given to the State of Oklahoma in settlement of\n\nmortgage indebtedness, or the cancellation of any certificate of\n\npurchase, when certified by the Secretary of the Land Office to the\n\nproper county treasurer, shall ipso facto cancel all delinquent\n\ntaxes on the real estate involved, and shall likewise cancel all\n\noutstanding tax certificates or tax deeds based upon taxes levied\n\nsubsequent to the recordation of the mortgage to the Commissioners\n\nof the Land Office, or subsequent to the issuance of the canceled\n\ncertificate of purchase by the Commissioners of the Land Office.","path":["OK Code","Title 64"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os64.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"575d4846fd4c05f198df61c1ac704de924e7ddf519a959581a00fd202d46a10e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-64-64-1031","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-64-64-1033"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
