The Director shall be appointed by the Board on the basis\n\nof merit and appropriate experience, shall possess a library degree\n\nfrom a library school accredited by the American Library Association\n\nand shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. The Assistant\n\nDirector shall be appointed by the Director, with the approval of\n\nthe Board, and shall be subject to the same qualifications as herein\n\nspecified for the Director.
