Stat. tit. 65, § 65-3-113.3","heading":"Duties of Publications Clearinghouse","body":"The Publications Clearinghouse shall have the following duties:\n\n1. To establish a state publications depository library system\n\nfor the use of the citizens of this state;\n\n2. Other than publications issued in an electronic format, to\n\ncollect state publications from every agency and to retain and\n\npreserve permanently a minimum of two copies of the publications;\n\n3. For publications issued in an electronic format, to\n\nelectronically retain and preserve permanently such publications or\n\nthe information contained therein, and to facilitate free public\n\naccess to such publications or information;\n\n4. To enter into contracts with other libraries within this\n\nstate whereby the Publications Clearinghouse designates the\n\ncontracting library to be a depository library for the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Libraries and agrees to distribute copies of state\n\npublications deposited with the Publications Clearinghouse to the\n\ndepository library, and the contracting library agrees to receive\n\nand maintain the collection of publications and not to dispose of\n\npublications without prior approval of the Publications\n\nClearinghouse, to provide adequate facilities for the storage and\n\nuse of the publications, and to provide free access to the\n\npublications for the use of its patrons;\n\n5. To determine the necessity of and to make arrangements for\n\nthe conversion of state publications to microform or electronic\n\nformats and to establish a system to assure the availability of such\n\npublications for distribution to designated depository libraries;\n\n6. To prepare and publish official lists of state publications\n\nand to distribute the lists to all contracting depository libraries,\n\nother libraries within this state, and every agency;\n\n7. For publications not published in an electronic format, to\n\ndetermine the quantity of each publication of an agency to a maximum\n\nof twenty-five copies required to meet the needs of the state\n\npublications depository library system and to notify each agency of\n\nthe required quantity;\n\n8. To distribute copies of state publications not published in\n\nan electronic format as follows:\n\na. One copy to the United States Library of Congress,\n\nb. Two copies for the collection of state publications\n\nwithin the Publications Clearinghouse, and\n\nc. Selected copies to each depository library;\n\n9. To receive for use and for exchange purposes a maximum of\n\nfifty copies of all state legal publications not published in an\n\nelectronic format, including bar journals and official reports of\n\ndecisions, codes, opinions, rules and regulations, and sixty copies\n\nof Oklahoma Statutes, Oklahoma Statute Supplements, and Oklahoma\n\nSession Laws; and\n\n10.
