Stat. tit. 65, § 65-4-106","heading":"Personnel","body":"(a) The system board shall appoint a librarian of the library\n\nsystem on the basis of merit and experience. Such librarian shall\n\nbe a graduate of a library school accredited by the American Library\n\nAssociation. The librarian shall be the administrative, executive\n\nand supervisory officer of the library and secretary to the system\n\nboard. The librarian shall serve at the discretion of the system\n\nboard.\n\n(b) The librarian may appoint and remove staff members and other\n\nemployees.\n\n(c) The system board may establish or participate in employee\n\nretirement and health insurance programs either for the exclusive\n\nbenefit of its staff or jointly and, in conjunction with city,\n\ncounty, state, or other retirement systems, may expend upon\n\nauthorization of the board funds allocated by the board for such\n\npurposes.","path":["OK Code","Title 65"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os65.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6ebf6d02dd0cd9e01dc92f244b15eae5f94abe147d1dd8079d671d9d9b512231","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-4-105","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-4-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
