Stat. tit. 65, § 65-555","heading":"Officers - Meetings - Quorum - Contracts","body":"The commission shall elect its chairman from the appointed\n\nmembers and fill such other offices as its bylaws may establish.\n\nThe commission shall hold at least one meeting each month and all\n\nmeetings shall be open to the public. It shall adopt rules for the\n\ntransaction of business and keep a record of its functions and\n\nactivities, which record shall be a public record. For the purpose\n\nof conducting business and exercising the powers of the commission,\n\na majority of the membership shall constitute a quorum. The\n\ncommission may establish a schedule of fees to cover various\n\nservices rendered and may also contract with other persons, agencies\n\nand any governmental unit for such services as it may require,\n\nincluding private legal counsel and private auditing service, within\n\nthe limits of its appropriations, and may incur necessary expenses.\n\nThe commission may contract for, receive, and utilize any grants or\n\nother financial assistance from the United States or from any other\n\nsource, public or private, in furtherance of its functions; may\n\nincur necessary expenses in obtaining said grants or financial\n\nassistance, within the limits of its appropriations; and shall\n\nreceive and disburse such grants or other financial assistance.","path":["OK Code","Title 65"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os65.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"59e4f066115ef8933e36172cc9e3558ba3b893ede354ff99e29d5d797652c076","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-554","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-556"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
