Stat. tit. 65, § 65-560","heading":"Retirement system","body":"If, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 37 of Title 11 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, or of any statute supplemental thereto or of any\n\ncharter provision of the city, a retirement system is established\n\nfor the employees of the city, the employees of the city-county\n\nlibrary system may be included in that retirement system on the same\n\nbasis applicable to employees of the city, if the commission so\n\nrecommends and the governing body of the city approves. Nothing\n\notherwise provided by law shall operate to prohibit the\n\nappropriation of county funds for the payment of the county's pro\n\nrata share of the contribution to be made to the retirement fund on\n\nbehalf of the employees of the city-county library system. In the\n\nevent funds become available for library purposes pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of Article X, Section 10A, of the Oklahoma Constitution,\n\nthe entire contribution on behalf of the employees of the city-\n\ncounty library system may be paid from such funds. The commission\n\nmay act so as to cause its employees to be included in the state\n\nretirement system and from its funds make the contributions\n\nnecessary therefor. The commission may, in lieu of participation in\n\nthe above-mentioned retirement systems, provide for the retirement\n\nof the employees of the city-county library system by the\n\nestablishment of a self-insured trust, or by the purchase of annuity\n\ncontracts or pension contracts from any insurance company authorized\n\nto do business in the State of Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 65"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os65.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"79c0fe75519ab74fd3d3deda659c62a418b00542db12c6f904478bdb07da04db","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-56","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-65-65-561"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
