Stat. tit. 66, § 66-125a","heading":"Railroads - Highway crossings - Safety devices","body":"Whenever the public authorities having jurisdiction and control\n\nover any public highway or street in this state shall deem that the\n\nsafety of lives and property at any railroad intersection with any\n\nhighway or street, shall so require, such public authorities as are\n\nhereby authorized and empowered to construct or install, or to order\n\nthe company owning such railroad so intersected, to construct or\n\ninstall, and thereafter maintain and operate, an automatic or\n\nmechanically operated barricading device, which, when giving\n\nwarning, shall become a barrier in such highway or street; provided,\n\nhowever, that before any such device is constructed or installed,\n\nmaintained and operated at a railroad intersection, the detailed\n\nplans of such device, with a description of the proposed mode of\n\noperation thereof, and a map showing the proposed location of the\n\nsame, shall be first submitted to, and approved by, the State\n\nHighway Commission of Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 66"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os66.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"43de7583f832348e810f6d92746d14180de0b27f67cde7475782ca54f86ebb0e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-125","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-125b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
