Stat. tit. 66, § 66-60","heading":"Unknown owner","body":"If upon the location of said railroad it shall be found to run\n\nthrough the real property of any nonresident owner who is unknown to\n\nthe corporation, or who has not been by it informed thereof, and has\n\nneither granted nor refused to grant the right-of-way through and\n\nover his said premises, the said corporation may give four (4)\n\nweeks' notice to such owner, if known, and if not known, by a\n\ndescription of such real property, by publication four (4)\n\nconsecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the county or\n\nsubdivision where such real property may lie, if there be any, and\n\nif not, in one nearest thereto on the line of their said road, that\n\nsaid railroad has been located through and over his lands; and if\n\nsaid owner do not, within thirty (30) days thereafter, apply to the\n\ndistrict judge to have the damages assessed, in the mode prescribed\n\nin this article, said corporation may proceed to have the damages\n\nassessed as herein before provided, subject to the same right of\n\nreview and appeal, as in case of resident owners; and upon payment\n\nof damages assessed to the clerk of the district court, the\n\ncorporation shall acquire all the rights and privileges mentioned in\n\nthis article.","path":["OK Code","Title 66"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os66.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7b1606165a9cdab474385a1622c1e07bb7c2af63ea18b2b2a1e4121e2a3a5117","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-59","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-61"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
