Stat. tit. 66, § 66-86","heading":"Must give notice of arrival of freight","body":"Such railroad companies shall within twenty-four (24) hours\n\nafter arrival of shipments give written notice by mail, or\n\notherwise, to consignees of the arrival of the shipments together\n\nwith the amount of freight charges thereon, and when goods or\n\nfreight in car load lots arrive, such notice shall contain the\n\nnumber and initials of the car or cars, and if transferred in\n\ntransit, the number and the initials of the car or cars in which\n\noriginally shipped. Any railroad company failing to give said\n\nnotice shall forfeit and pay to the consignee or other party whose\n\ninterest is affected, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per car per day\n\nor fraction of a day's delay, in all car load shipments, and one\n\ncent ($0.01) per hundred pounds per day or fraction thereof on\n\nfreight in less than car load lots with minimum charge of five cents\n\n($0.05) for any one package after the expiration of said twenty-four\n\n(24) hours, together with all actual damages sustained thereby.","path":["OK Code","Title 66"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os66.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"8de8c33309f8083d0d2bfa43ba08aa86f0c36d6e8c8a7379e46c8438c6740e39","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-85","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-66-66-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
