Stat. tit. 67, § 67-11","heading":"County records destroyed replaced by other records","body":"Whenever it shall appear that the records, or any material part\n\nthereof, of any county in this state have been destroyed by fire or\n\notherwise, any map, plat, deed, conveyance, contract, mortgage, deed\n\nof trust, or other instrument in writing affecting real estate in\n\nsuch county, which has been heretofore recorded, or certified copies\n\nthereof, may be recorded in the place of such county records; and in\n\nrecording the same the register of deeds shall record the\n\ncertificate of the previous record, and the date of filing for\n\nrecord appearing in said original certificate so recorded shall be\n\ndeemed and taken as the date of the record thereof.
