Stat. tit. 68, § 68-1354.33","heading":"Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement system -","body":"Confidentiality rights and privacy interests.\n\nA. The purpose of this section is to set forth the intent of\n\nthe Legislature to protect the confidentiality rights of all\n\nparticipants in the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement system\n\nand of the privacy interests of consumers who deal with Model 1\n\nsellers.\n\nB. As used in this section:\n\n1. The term \"confidential taxpayer information\" means all\n\ninformation that is protected pursuant to Section 205 of Title 68 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n2. The term \"personally identifiable information\" means\n\ninformation that identifies a person; and\n\n3. The term \"anonymous data\" means information that does not\n\nidentify a person.\n\nC. The fundamental precept in Model 1 is to preserve the\n\nprivacy of consumers by protecting their anonymity. With very\n\nlimited exceptions, a certified service provider shall perform its\n\ntax calculation, remittance, and reporting functions without\n\nretaining the personally identifiable information of consumers.\n\nD. The Tax Commission shall provide public notification to\n\nconsumers, including their exempt purchasers, of the state’s\n\npractices relating to the collection, use and retention of\n\npersonally identifiable information.\n\nE. When any personally identifiable information that has been\n\ncollected and retained is no longer required for the purposes of\n\nverifying the validity of an exemption, such information shall no\n\nlonger be retained by the Tax Commission.\n\nF. When personally identifiable information regarding an\n\nindividual is retained, the Tax Commission shall provide reasonable\n\naccess by such individual to his or her own information in the\n\nstate's possession and a right to correct any inaccurately recorded\n\ninformation.\n\nG. If anyone other than the state, or a person authorized by\n\nthis state’s law or the Agreement, seeks to discover personally\n\nidentifiable information, a reasonable and timely effort to notify\n\nthe individual of such request shall be made.\n\nH. This privacy policy is subject to enforcement in the same\n\nmanner as set out in Section 205 of Title 68 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.\n\nI.
