Stat. tit. 68, § 68-1907","heading":"Payment prerequisite to recording, use as evidence","body":"No mortgage of real property shall be recorded by any county\n\nclerk unless there shall be paid the tax imposed by and as in this\n\narticle provided. No mortgage of real property which is subject to\n\nthe taxes levied by this article shall be released, discharged of\n\nrecord or received in evidence in any action or proceeding, nor\n\nshall any agreement extending any such mortgage be recorded unless\n\nthe taxes levied thereon by this article shall have been paid as\n\nprovided in this article.
