Stat. tit. 68, § 68-210","heading":"Bonds","body":"(a) Any bond required to be filed to protect the State of\n\nOklahoma under this article or any state tax law must be approved by\n\nthe Tax Commission and shall be in such form and amount as such tax\n\nlaw shall require, or, in the absence of a specific requirement, in\n\nsuch amount as the Tax Commission may require, and shall be signed\n\nas surety by a surety company authorized to transact business in\n\nthis state, or in lieu of such surety bond, there may be filed\n\nnegotiable bonds or other obligations of the United States or of the\n\nState of Oklahoma of an actual market value not less than the amount\n\nfixed by such law or by the Tax Commission.\n\n(b) Notwithstanding the limitation as to the amount of any bond\n\nfixed by any tax law requiring a bond, if a taxpayer:\n\n1. Becomes delinquent in the payment of any tax;\n\n2. Tenders a check in payment of a tax which check is returned\n\nunpaid because of insufficient funds; or\n\n3. Is unable to furnish a financial statement that, in the\n\njudgment of the Tax Commission, indicates ability to properly\n\ndischarge his liability for the tax currently accruing against such\n\ntaxpayer;\n\nthen, in any of such events, the Tax Commission shall demand an\n\nadditional bond of such taxpayer in an amount necessary, in the\n\njudgment of the Tax Commission, to protect the revenue of the State.\n\nProvided, that the penal sum of the additional bond and the bond\n\nfurnished under the provisions of the law requiring such bond, may\n\nnot, in total amount, exceed three (3) months' tax liability.\n\n(c) If any bond or other instrument filed to protect the State\n\nof Oklahoma under this article or any state tax law is revoked or\n\ncanceled by the issuer thereof, such issuer shall provide notice of\n\nsuch revocation or cancellation to the Oklahoma Tax Commission by\n\ncertified mail.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"388a0fb417031d8d6671482844a99c57c4ffa43a739a1c3eec8f75d585e0b179","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-209","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
