Stat. tit. 68, § 68-238","heading":"Conduct of business or activities without license or","body":"permit.\n\nAny person, association, or corporation required to obtain a\n\nlicense or permit by any state tax law, or by other law which the\n\nTax Commission is required to enforce, who shall, without obtaining\n\nsuch license or permit, conduct the business or carry on the\n\nactivities required to be licensed, shall be guilty, upon\n\nconviction, of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by the imposition\n\nof a fine of not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or\n\nshall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more\n\nthan one (1) year; and, upon complaint of the Tax Commission shall\n\nbe enjoined from further operating or conducting such business until\n\nsuch license or permit has been procured.\n\nThe venue for prosecutions arising pursuant to the provisions of\n\nthis section shall be in the district court of any county in which\n\nsuch business activities are transacted.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f9dd5af413f29e968faeb4b2bd9b78c543e4e4f36c4cba65d347d05ffef30e1d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2379","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-238.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
