Stat. tit. 68, § 68-242","heading":"False entries or neglect to make entries - Penalty -","body":"Venue.\n\nAny person, whether acting for himself or for any other person,\n\nwho willfully makes any false entry or who fails to make any entry\n\nwhich it is his duty to make in any book, ledger, or account\n\nrequired by the provisions of this title or any state tax law to be\n\nkept, shall be guilty, upon conviction, of a misdemeanor and shall\n\nbe punished by the imposition of a fine of not more than Five\n\nThousand Dollars ($5,000.00) or shall be sentenced to the county\n\njail for a term not exceeding one (1) year, or both.\n\nThe venue of all prosecutions arising pursuant to the provisions\n\nof this section shall be in the district court of the county in\n\nwhich such person resides, or if such person is not a resident of\n\nthis state, any county in which such person does business or\n\nmaintains an established place of business.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0fa05ffb34d64e47834c04550690cc83558df874849e5ce449cbb8b1ea7f4fcd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-24113","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-243"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
