Whenever real or personal property has in any year, through\n\nfalse representations or concealments willfully and fraudulently\n\nmade by the owner or agent in listing the same for assessment, been\n\ngrossly undervalued and has escaped for that year just and proper\n\ntaxation, the county assessor or the State Board of Equalization,\n\nwhose duty it is to assess such class of property shall, at any time\n\nwithin two (2) years from the date of such original undervaluation,\n\ncause such property to be entered on the assessment roll and tax\n\nbooks for the year or years so undervalued.\n\nB. After reasonable notice to the party affected, in order that\n\nhe may be heard, the county assessor or State Board of Equalization\n\nshall reassess such undervalued property and cause same to be\n\nextended against such property on the tax list or rolls for the\n\ncurrent year, with all arrearage of taxes thus properly accruing\n\nagainst it, including interest thereon at the rate of six percent\n\n(6%) per annum from the time such tax should have become delinquent.\n\nC. As to such property so grossly undervalued in assessment no\n\ncontract shall be made with anyone by either the State Board of\n\nEqualization, or the board of county commissioners, to pay anyone a\n\ncommission or in any way causing same to be reassessed; but it shall\n\nbe the duty of the State Board of Equalization, with the assistance\n\nof the Attorney General and the county assessor, with the assistance\n\nof the district attorney, to make and cause such reassessment to be\n\nmade.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b1734f79f1cd4b06f7d7351be9f50a10e7486b4d3a44b2b302b18dab897965f7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2845","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2847"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
