Stat. tit. 68, § 68-2857","heading":"Railroad, air carrier or public service corporation -","body":"Failure or refusal to make statements or schedules - Ascertainment\n\nof value - Penalty.\n\nA. Should any railroad, air carrier or public service\n\ncorporation doing business in this state fail or refuse to file the\n\nstatements or schedules with the Oklahoma Tax Commission within the\n\ntime and manner required by law, it shall be the duty of the State\n\nBoard of Equalization to ascertain from the best information\n\nobtainable the value of the property of such company. The Tax\n\nCommission may grant an extension without penalty, upon written\n\nrequest of the taxpayer and for a good cause, of not to exceed\n\nfifteen (15) days for the filing of the returns as required by the\n\nAd Valorem Tax Code.\n\nB. There shall be assessed by the State Board of Equalization\n\nan administrative penalty for every day which a railroad, air\n\ncarrier or public service corporation doing business in this state\n\nfails or refuses to file the statements or schedules with the Tax\n\nCommission within the time and manner required by law in the lesser\n\nof the amount of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per day for each\n\ncounty in which such entity has property subject to ad valorem tax\n\nor one percent (1%) of the assessed value. The State Board of\n\nEqualization shall be responsible for collecting this penalty and\n\nshall remit fifty percent (50%) of such penalty to the county\n\ngeneral fund of the counties in which such entity has property\n\nsubject to ad valorem tax.
