Stat. tit. 68, § 68-2900","heading":"Homestead exemption - Unlawful acts - Penalties","body":"If any person make any false or fraudulent claim for exemption,\n\nor make any false statement or false representation of a material\n\nfact, in support of such claim, or any person who assists another in\n\nthe preparation of any such false or fraudulent claim, or enters\n\ninto any collusion with another by the execution of a fictitious\n\ndeed, or other instrument, for the purpose of obtaining unlawful\n\nhomestead exemption pursuant to the provisions of this Code, shall\n\nbe guilty of a misdemeanor and subject, upon conviction thereof, to\n\na forfeiture of the exemption herein granted for a period of two (2)\n\nyears from date of conviction, and to a fine of not less than\n\nTwenty-five Dollars ($25.00), nor more than Two Hundred Dollars\n\n($200.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than\n\nsix (6) months, or both.
