Stat. tit. 68, § 68-2904","heading":"Definitions","body":"The following words when used in Sections 104 through 111 of\n\nthis act shall have the following meanings, unless otherwise\n\nqualified by the context:\n\n1. \"Claimant\" means a person who has filed a claim pursuant to\n\nSection 106 of this act.\n\n2. \"Disabled person\" means a person unable to engage in any\n\nsubstantial gainful activity by reason of a medically determined\n\nphysical or mental impairment which can be expected to last for a\n\ncontinuous period of twelve (12) months or more. Proof of\n\ndisability may be established by certification by an agency of state\n\ngovernment, an insurance company, or as may be required by the\n\nOklahoma Tax Commission. Eligibility to receive disability benefits\n\nunder the Federal Social Security Act shall constitute proof of\n\ndisability, for purposes of said sections.\n\n3. \"Gross household income\" means the gross amount of income of\n\nevery type, regardless of the source, received by all persons\n\noccupying the same household, whether such income was taxable or\n\nnontaxable for federal or state income tax purposes, including\n\npensions, annuities, federal social security, unemployment payments,\n\nveterans' disability compensation, public assistance payments,\n\nalimony, support money, workers' compensation, loss-of-time\n\ninsurance payments, capital gains and any other type of income\n\nreceived; and excluding gifts.\n\n4. \"Head of household\" means a person who as owner or joint\n\nowner maintains a home and furnishes his own support for said home,\n\nfurnishings and other material necessities.\n\n5. \"Household\" means any house, dwelling or other type of\n\nliving quarters, and the real property thereof, occupied by the\n\nowner or joint owners as a residence, subject to ad valorem\n\ntaxation.\n\n6. \"Property taxes\" means the ad valorem taxes on the household\n\nactually paid by the head of the household for the preceding\n\ncalendar year.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"172bf32e15215a6bd644f3931aa6a378e628a9acbabbab38e53b6400d113c9cd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2903","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2905"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
