Stat. tit. 68, § 68-2935","heading":"Federal resettlement or rural rehabilitation projects -","body":"County treasurer to make application for payments in lieu of taxes.\n\nThe county treasurer of any county in this state, in which any\n\nresettlement or rural rehabilitation project for resettlement\n\npurposes of the United States is located, shall make application to\n\nthe United States each fiscal year for and on behalf of the county\n\nand political subdivisions, whose jurisdiction limits are within or\n\ncoextensive with the limits of the county, for the payments of such\n\nsums in lieu of taxes as the United States may agree to pay on\n\naccount of the nontaxable property in any such project. In making\n\nsuch applications the county treasurer shall act as the agent of the\n\ncounty and political subdivisions in which any such nontaxable\n\nproperty is situated.
