Stat. tit. 68, § 68-2943","heading":"Duties of officials mandatory - Neglect of duties -","body":"Penalties.\n\nThe provisions of the Ad Valorem Tax Code relating to the duties\n\nof various officials, and the time within which such duties shall be\n\nperformed, are hereby declared to be mandatory; and the failure of\n\nany such official, board or commission, to perform the duties\n\nprescribed herein, within the time specified, shall subject them to\n\nremoval from office for neglect of duty; and they shall receive no\n\nremuneration, compensation or salary for their services, after the\n\ntime herein fixed for the performance of such duties and until the\n\nsame shall have been completed or performed. Each of them shall\n\nalso be subject to a penalty of Five Dollars ($5.00) per day for\n\neach day's delay for such neglect or failure; and it shall be the\n\nduty of the district attorney as to county officers, and the\n\nAttorney General as to state officers, to institute proper action to\n\ncollect any such penalty; provided, that the validity of any\n\nassessment or levy shall not be affected because of any\n\ninsufficiency, informality or delay in the performance of any duty\n\nimposed upon any official, board or commission.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1fd66004c22497cbd23b568b31a2e0741f4a5f89260b8b361616bb86c30f3919","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2942","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-2944"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
