Stat. tit. 68, § 68-3008","heading":"Attendance and opinion of district attorney - Further","body":"detail as to items - Restrictions - Assistance.\n\nThe county excise board may require the attendance of the\n\nDistrict Attorney at any of its sessions when passing upon the\n\nvalidity or invalidity of items of appropriation; or it may request\n\nhis opinion in writing as to any such item. Said board is hereby\n\nempowered to require such further detail as to any item of any\n\nestimate as it deems necessary and proper for such determination,\n\nand it may place such restrictions thereon as will limit the use\n\nthereof to purposes authorized by law; but such further detail and\n\nsuch restrictions shall not enlarge upon the number of accounts in\n\nthe bookkeeping systems prescribed and kept as provided by law.\n\nHowever, such further detail and any restrictions imposed thereon\n\nshall be disclosed by statements attached to the original copy of\n\nsuch budget filed with the county clerk, and to the duplicate copy\n\nof such budget filed with the State Auditor and Inspector. If such\n\nexcise board desires assistance for the purpose of inspecting and\n\ncorrecting financial statements and accounts, and inspection of\n\nlevies, it may invoke those provisions of law providing such\n\nassistance (74 O.S. 1961, Section 212), provided there shall have\n\nbeen made an appropriation for county audit and an assignment to\n\nsuch county for such purpose.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e33d63e6d5648efdfff4ee0ebe58d99b771294ea8877700822ff57d3b5c6764d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-3007","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-3009"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
