No person shall operate or maintain a motor vehicle on any\n\npublic highway in this state with motor fuel contained in the fuel\n\nsupply tank for the motor vehicle that contains dye as provided\n\nunder paragraph 16 of Section 10 of this act.\n\nB. This section does not apply to:\n\n1. Persons operating motor vehicles that have received fuel\n\ninto their fuel tanks outside of this state in a jurisdiction that\n\npermits introduction of dyed motor fuel of that color and type into\n\nthe motor fuel tank of highway vehicles; or\n\n2. Uses of dyed fuel on the highway which are lawful under the\n\nInternal Revenue Code and regulations thereunder and as set forth in\n\nSection 10 of this act unless otherwise prohibited by this act.\n\nC. Any person who knowingly violates or knowingly aids and\n\nabets another to violate the provisions of this section with the\n\nintent to evade the tax levied by this act shall be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor and shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than One\n\nThousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or be sentenced to a term of not more\n\nthan one (1) year in the county jail, or shall be punishable by both\n\nsuch fine and imprisonment.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"758bf43dda421c50e579c98f497215084d25fc11c17e7619107f998d24044fe7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-500.51","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-500.53"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
