The in-lieu tax imposed in Section 5301 of this title shall\n\nbe evidenced by a tax stamp affixed by said dealer to the\n\nManufacturer's Certificate or Statement of Origin covering each new\n\nautomobile, truck, travel trailer, manufactured home, recreational\n\nvehicle, motorcycle, vessel, watercraft, motorboat, or other boats\n\nand motor before the dealer executes the assignment on such\n\nCertificate of Origin transferring the ownership of such vehicle to\n\nthe purchaser. The tax stamp shall be in the amount of Three\n\nDollars and fifty cents ($3.50).\n\nB. It shall be unlawful for a licensed new vehicle,\n\nmanufactured home, recreational vehicle, or motorboat and vessel\n\ndealer to sell or assign a Certificate of Origin to any new\n\nautomobile, truck, travel trailer, manufactured home, recreational\n\nvehicle, motorcycle, vessel, watercraft, motorboat, or other boat or\n\nmotor sold by the manufacturer of such vehicle to such dealer for\n\ndelivery and registration in Oklahoma without his having first\n\nobtained and affixed to such Certificate of Origin a proper tax\n\nstamp as required by the provisions of this section, except to\n\nassign such Certificate of Origin to another authorized licensed\n\ndealer franchised to sell such new items of the same manufacturer.\n\nC. No new automobile, manufactured home, recreational vehicle,\n\ntruck, travel trailer, motorcycle, vessel, watercraft, motorboat, or\n\nother boat or motor shall be registered and licensed by Service\n\nOklahoma or one of its licensed operators unless the Manufacturer's\n\nCertificate or Statement of Origin covering such new vehicle,\n\nmanufactured home, recreational vehicle, vessel, watercraft,\n\nmotorboat, or other boat and motor shall have the tax stamp provided\n\nfor in this section affixed on such Manufacturer's Certificate or\n\nStatement of Origin.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"50128e170e4e6edaeb89612fcae31bccbd340891dbb479953d9466e1259f5359","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-53010","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-5304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
