Stat. tit. 68, § 68-5304","heading":"Purchase of stamps - Form - Distribution - Custody","body":"The tax stamps required by Section 5301 et seq. of this title to\n\nbe placed upon Manufacturer’s Certificates or Statements of Origin\n\nof new automobiles, new trucks, new travel trailers, new\n\nmanufactured homes, new recreational vehicles, new motorcycles, new\n\nvessels, new watercraft, new motorboats, and other new boats and new\n\nmotors, and on the applications for registration of the vehicles\n\ndescribed in Section 5303 of this title shall be manufactured or\n\npurchased by Service Oklahoma in the required amounts. The tax\n\nstamps shall be of such design, color combination, and material as\n\nService Oklahoma shall deem necessary for the administration of this\n\ntax and to afford the best security to the tax revenue involved.\n\nService Oklahoma may require any manufacturer of such tax stamps to\n\nfurnish a bond in such amount as it deems necessary to protect the\n\nstate and counties against loss. Service Oklahoma shall distribute\n\nsuch tax stamps to the county treasurer of each county, taking such\n\nreceipt therefor as may be necessary, and the county treasurer shall\n\nhave the responsibility of the custody and the sale of such stamps\n\nto the person required by Section 5301 et seq. of this title to\n\nobtain same, and shall have the duty of accounting for such stamps\n\nto their respective counties, and to Service Oklahoma as it may\n\nrequire.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"940649a32cb9b329aeed89ba91d7de1df4502b4b1d6a3ea8b35906b085a82be8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-5302","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-5305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
