If the owner of an aircraft subject to the tax levied\n\npursuant to the provisions of Section 1355 and Section 6001 et seq.\n\nof this title fails or refuses to pay such tax after proper demand\n\nthereof by an officer or agent of Service Oklahoma, such officer or\n\nagent shall report such failure to Service Oklahoma, and shall seize\n\nand hold the aircraft in the same manner as provided for in Section\n\n116.14 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes for the seizure of motor\n\nvehicles.\n\nB. Service Oklahoma, upon demand of the owner of such aircraft,\n\nshall accord a hearing to the owner as provided for by law and enter\n\nits findings and order accordingly. If it shall be determined by\n\nService Oklahoma that such tax is due and payable, then it shall\n\nissue its warrant directly to the sheriff of the county in which the\n\naircraft is located, and direct the sale of such aircraft according\n\nto the same procedures provided for in Section 116.14 of Title 47 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes for the sale of vehicles for failure to pay\n\nthe annual license fee. Such seizure and sale of such aircraft may\n\ninclude both the registration fee due and the excise tax levied\n\npursuant to the provisions of Section 1355 and Section 6001 et seq.\n\nof this title, together with all costs of advertisement and sale.\n\nThe sale shall be conducted in the same manner as provided for by\n\nlaw for the sale of personal property under execution.","path":["OK Code","Title 68"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os68.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c5319a6131a1d529208aad95595aad0b38f0892d53c460326c6173e1381e120b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-6005","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-68-68-6007"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
